A binding estimate: once all the small details have been flushed out, your moving company will offer you a binding estimate. This will be a legal agreement between you and the moving company, and cannot be changed.
110% rule: this is a contract that is the non-binding estimate, plus 10%. This option is meant if the moving costs exceed the non-binding contract, then the moving company must come up with the difference and pay the balance due within 30 days.
Is the moving company legally required to provide me with paperwork?
